I missed bow drill again! that's it. This weekend I'm off to do it myself.

Hugo, I've got a little something for you for the next meet I think you might like, but I'm not going to tell you what it is till then.

Great Jack thanks, can you keep her fed and watered for me until then. ha ha.

I'm Spartacus. ha ha.
I also left a couple of plastic containers with coffee and chocolate in, and a green canvas sack.

I think Neumo might have that, sounds like something he asked if it was mine just before he went off site.

I thank everyone for doing there bit glad you all came along.
Jack and Peter, you guys made it even better by bringing wood for the fire, I salute you guys.

Just to let you know that Cecile love the place and very interested in the bow drill fire ! ;)
Amazing weekend, fantastic weather and very nice people as always !

You're more than welcome, but that's about it for my stock pile. Everything else thats left is a bit green. We'll all have to make a big effort at the next meet to collect a stock pile of firewood early on.

Thanks Kepis, another great offer. I did manage an assisted ember the other week on a course (thanks to Richard for that one). Will give it a go this weekend an see how I get on.

If the spoon you carved was whilst you were on painkillers, I look forward to the clear headed ones! Have you published a picture yet?

Peter mate, I have made a kuksa out of the silver birch you gave us chaps at the meet, just waiting for it to slowly dry out.
Cheers for the wood mate.
