Summer fishing trip in Yorkshire?

Anyone up for a days fishing come the nice weather? I'm equipped for both coarse and fly but never actually fished fly before (although would love to have someone show me the ropes)

Just an idea. Could make it a regular thing. Ideally somewhere off the beaten track.

i've gone really retro......split cane rods, centrepin reels, hand made floats, old metal bait box, bamboo landing net etc etc......eat yer heart out Mr Crabtree

I have a bakerlite center pin and my dad still occasionally uses his tank arial rod for spinning.

Happy times. Just wish we'd get the weather.

Dont know any fishing spots in yorkshire but as I am not a million miles away would glady join you (or you could tag on in lincs with me) cant fly fish though

Done lots of fishing down your way. Had some good fish in South Muskham a long time ago or we could hit the Trent.

Yep! Ancholme is on my doorestep. (Or I have a privateish pond I fish) dont mind a travel though. The options are open. Also have a secure bushy spot if you fancy an over nighter....
