This is a very wild site...There is a Basic Farm Flushing Toilet and Shower at a Farm Yard about 1km away, the nearest Tap is about a 600m from the Woodland.

The Communal Area has a number of seat/ small tables, a rustic bushy Table seat next to a clay oven to make food prep a bit easier then doing it on your lap, during meets a Tarp will be put up over the fire area, The fire pit has a concrete base, with a Tripod and Extension with a griddle over the fire for everyone's use.

There is also a Pole Lathe and a Shave horse for use, you will need to bring any tools you require.

There is a lean to one man natural shelter that can be used, in a secluded area, if you would like to use it for a night, that would be on a first come, first serve basis, it may need re-roofing prior to use.

Sorry to say I won't be able to make this one... I'll be away training for work.
Might be back by the Feb meet, otherwise it's a long wait until March!

Additional note: on the Saturday, I'll be leading a session on Tarpology. With that said, anyone wanting to demonstrate specific methodologies or complete pitches are encouraged to do so (I believe we all have our own unique methods that everyone can benefit from).

I'll be bringing a number of additional tarps with me (different shapes and sizes) to play with, as well as ridgelines and suspension systems made from various materials (each with their own pros and cons).

Since I'll have the extra tarps with me (at least three tarps to play with aside from the 4x4 which will be on my own pitch), if anyone new to camping with a tarp would like to try one out for the night, that will be a possibility. One of the tarps I'm bringing is a heavy canvas, offering a great deal of potential warmth... so I figure that might be of interest for someone to try out for a night!

I will ask the Landowner for the Third night this week as there is Three :), more will be great :)..

The extra night will of course be a £5 extra on the site Fee so Site fee will be £15.

therefore total cost will be £15 site + the £5 group fee = £20..

just thought I 'd better say that before I ask him :)
