Hi this is my first post Hello to all

Im very interested in all aspects of bushcraft and hope this post is the first of many i know this will have been mentioned before but i cant find it anywhere :(
can someone tell me how to stop the rain running down the tie cord into my hammock :)

Like the chaps have said a simple piece of cord tied in somewhere under the tarp will help, some folk prefer a ring or carabiner of some sort but they're not really necessary.

Have you actually had rain running down the cord or is it just in case?

Hi and Welcome aboard.

I find drip lines where not effective enough in heavy rain so i went for the climbing carabiner adaption

Hi Pinemarten.

Welcome to BCUK:)

A piece of jeycloth, or microfibre cloth strip tied on is good. I'm using a food bag clip at the moment which seems to work fantastically and also keeps my lines clipped together when I'm packing away..

I use marlin hitches on the tree straps which interupts most of the water, the the suspension lines to the hammock itself have in buit drip line due to their whoopieish construction, I made and tested them myslf, I've had terrible nights before waking due to a soggy bottom(no alcohol involved) so made sure I won't get wet with this set up.

Thanks for the warm welcome:)
Thanks for the replies, there are plenty of options to look at there ... i have been lucky and hav'nt been rained on yet while in my hammock.... I always try and follow the rule of the 7 p's :)

Cheers John
