Holder for a Fallkniven DC3 sharpening stone, not a new idea by any means, can't remember where i saw it.

Bit of stick, two undercut ends to hold the stone and job done, much better than carrying a couple of nails to hold it.

When out in the woods this holder can be carved into a stick very quickly and gives you a solid and safe base to sharpen on.

That's a very smart idea. Keeps tender fingers out of harm's way as well.
I would not leave that behind! I need one in the kitchen.
Finished down to trimming the ends.
I'll crib that idea, please and thanks.

It looks dead easy to make, but having seen your previous work, I know that it is not!
Getting the correct size for a good grip and no slippage = precision cutting!

Fantastic idea.

Is a great idea! - I have done similar in the past but with a longer stick that you can sit on to 'clamp' it in place so you can use two hands to manipulate the knife whilst sharpening ;-)

Awesome, just what I need for the kitchen. Many thanks.

Kepis, how does this one work? Do you flex it to open it out a bit? Or, is the stone just slid in from the side? Nice thing :)
