Anyone else like Sting?

Am watching him now - not sure what programme I'm on. I think it's his latest album with friends, including Kathryn Tickell. Excellent stuff - he just gets better as he gets older :cool::cool:

It's on BBC1 here http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b03n2gh6 Must be on iPlayer later if you've missed it. Songs from his new album The Last Ship ... last minute Midwinter prezzie :D

Still love the David Lynch version no matter how much they butchered it.

I wonder if we will ever get a decent adaptation of Dune?

Edit: Anyone seen the John Harrison mini-series?

I thought they did a magnificent job considering the complexity of the story, the limited SFX and CGI resources they had available at the time. I watched the film only last weekend and loved it. It is one of my all time favorites.

Although I would love to see a complete remake using modern techniques.

Oh and Sting is an excellent musician. OK so his acting is not up to par but you can't knock his musical talent.

Love the way he suddenly rediscovered his geordie accent after all these years. Im making a play and im a man of the people type thing. I thought it was ok but nothing special. The little bits of shipyard history mingled in was interesting

I don't speak broad Yorkshire as I have been away from there for many years but put me back in with them and I fall straight back into it!

Ah, OK, Thanks for that...........The older I get the more I realise how many of the truly important nuggets of wisdom I'm lacking in life!
