I don't mind the less-than-perfect fitting of the parts. Because it shows me something truly hand made
and that counts for a lot with me. The birch will feel warm under the hand on a cold day.

I keep forgetting to do another birch bark handle. It was really nice to do - could be a good one for the kids to get involved with as well!

Good blade choice to. They’ve tempted me quite a few times.

Hi Stew
The blade is nice and I would be happy for one myself (that was the plan)
I now need a new blade for me and I intend to do a stacked birch handlecas I want one.

TW was an. Englishman at Fiskars smithy who apparently was the head of small forgings depsrtment. I guess he had a certain way of producing knife blades and that caught. I am less sure if he really had a preference for a certain type of puukko.

I have finally made the sheath for this knife. It is 3mm veg tanned leather with a scout arrowhead stamp on the belt loop as it is for a Scout Leader.

It is not the style of sheath I would choose for the knife but it was what I was asked for.
