I thought ukpk stood for uk friendly pocket knife as in legal to carry didn't realise it was an actual knife thanks for the update
No worries. UKPK stands for UKPenKnife, a model developed with the (long gone) BritishBlades online forum's input. Some of the original contributors to the UKPK are on this very forum (I am not one of them).

I personally prefer the Urban. I'll be interested to try the Metropolitan, which is in between the UKPK and Urban in size.

Just wondering has anyone made there own Kydex sheath for this knife as I've googled them and I ain't paying that much for 1.
I haven’t made a sheath for my UKPK, but have made other Kydex sheaths.
The UKPK sheaths I found via google ranges £15 to £32.
If you want to get into Kydex making, this is a good start. However if you just want to have a cheaper UKPK sheath, I don’t think you can make one more cheaply. If you don’t have kydex making kit already(kydex, eyelets, matching drill, eyelet setting tool, foam , kydex press or materials to make one, fast acting high power clamps, heat gun or understanding spouse and oven, plus obligatory saw, files, drill and sandpaper.) I do not believe you can build your own for less than £32. That assumes you are not counting your hourly rate. :lmao:

I have started many hobbies and acquire lots of kit because I initially thought that making my own of something would be cheaper! Rewarding, absolutely. Actually cheaper in absolute terms, no way!!!

My mate came to visit me today as we haven't seen each other for awhile, Don't worry it's not a love story anyway he was carrying his UKPK, So I asked if he'd let me try to make a Kydex sheath for it as talked about above that I've been looking for 1.
So he gave me the ok and I made 3 and yes I gave him the Better 1.
Anyway here are the other 2.
And don't take the mick.
They ain't the prettiest but they'll do me for now and the longer 1 has the retention of a very good sheath knife abit to firm tbh but it'll ware in.
Has anyone got a few grommets for sale or know where to buy them as the rivets I've used are naff so I left the 2nd sheath undrilled.
Cheers

Lovely job thanks, what size do you think for a 4mm thick sheath the 5.5 max or 7.5 ?. I know it sounds a daft ? but I'm not sure if they mean as they come or when compressed.
You can tell I'm used to doing it cheap with pop rivets and washers.
cheers

When you say 5.5 and 7.5, you mean length?

I know that my US sourced 6.3OD, 5.5id, 9.9head x 7.4 long eyelets work perfectly with two layers of 2mm Kydex. Not too long, not too short. They work with 1.6mm Kydex too.
I also know that this inner diameter works with TekLok standard belt hardware, which use 5.1mm OD 8-32UNC threaded nuts.

I would not want to use 5.5 long eyelets with 2x2mm Kydex.

Firstly to Chris thankyou very much for your offer to lend me a knife to try out I certainly wasn't expecting a kind offer like that.
I put the same request on the Edge Matters site and have now brought a used 1 in pretty good nick it's just missing the pocket clip and I've looked around for a re-placement clip and they aren't cheap either so I'll be putting a ''Wanted'' add for 1 of these next.

And to C Claycomb for the above info I ordered some 7 and 9.4mm Barrel lengths yesterday and they have just arrived.

Cheers Guys
