Certainly does feel like its turned a corner but Mr Weatherman still seems to be threatening a beast from the east part deux

The first day back home after a few weeks away and it's been very springy or even a hint of early summer here.

Along with the bees, bumbles and honeys, there's been a few butterflies like peacocks about, and I've been pleasantly surprised to see several slowworms and even a couple of basking lizards in the garden today. Still a cool easterly to remind me can get cold again.

Just back from a walk in Attingham park with daughter. Definitely a spring. No definite colour haze up in the trees yet.

The Not-a-tipi being checked out ready for Easter.
If this weather holds I’ll take out the leaking tipi as a sort of cupboard next week - the met guys had better get it right!

The spring is on "usual" schedule around here, daffodills out around St David's day.

The 4 days of warm calm weather last week was welcome, it has brought on the trees a bit, allowed me to finally get the covers on my new polytunnels, and move all my overwintering plants into them from the small overcrowded greenhouse.

Just as well as the winds we had yesterday blew another panel out of the greenhouse. (It was a cheap one, and has lasted beyond expectations, several panels were taped up from last year as it was). SPring is definately on hold for a few days around here at the moment!
