Yes comfort zones are very personal. Last time I absailed I still got the shaky legs syndrome going over the lip. But I know that once I get past that moment it's exciting fun.I'm free climbing with Sammi so it will be only the most easy of route's as she is very new to it, she finds the thrill in it, but I don't want to scare her away from being bold, you know how it is, pushing out a comfort zone so it grows but not so far as to scare them and have it shrink back badly due to going to far too soon.
I took my daughter abseiling years ago and her first drp was 200 feet. Brave girl! She was nine yrs old. My son freaked out at 50 feet and never did it again.
It's about facing your dragons and heights was always one of mine. Even the bridge across to Wales is a problem for me unless I'm a passanger. Even then I'm sweating!
Fear of falling .... but I love abseiling? ???? Get that one!
