Spoons and ladles revisited

Prompted by a comment I made on the "burning wood" thread ("it takes time to brew decent firewood") it reminded me of some spoon and ladle blanks I prepared last year and forgot about. Here is a picture

They were roughed out of various alder lime and cherry logs, maybe maple and beech as well. I used an axe mostly. Then put them in a sack of shavings for about 4 months, then stacked in the air outside. None went mouldy and none have cracked. So I am ready to work thyrough them doing finish cuts and tidy up. I will post the results as and when. I like working the wood dry, the alder and lime is soft when dry anyway:)
