Special Sporran for a Finnish whisky club

Dreadhead

Bushcrafter through and through
I've been waiting to show this one off!

A very special Sporran made for a member of a Finnish whisky club 'Mikkelin viskisieppoklubi', carved with their club logo and made from reindeer skin from Lapland. A nice cross-over between our two countries :) Mikkeli is their town, viski means whisky, sieppo is flycatcher and in finnish slang it also means ”a person who likes a lot of alcohol” and klubi means club. Their logo is two 'sieppos' on a line, one of which has had a few drams too many.

Kiitos!

Cracking job as indeed is all your work.

I'm so glad I read the full description as I honestly thought the critter who's had "one too many" was in fact a woodchuck or prairie dog that had just succumbed to a well placed bullet from a .22 Hornet!

Cracking sporran Hamish, that chap'll be the envy of the rest of the members with that one. Hope he's got a flask to go in it so that he can offer folks a dram and show it off.
Nice to hear the background to the piece too.

Sent via smoke-signal from a woodland in Scotland.

Beautiful work as always Hamish... the design works well with the sporran, bit of humour never goes amiss :D
