It was my intention to pop over to my permission to harvest a few hazel rods for walking sticks and a birch lump for future kuksa. But on arrival it was decided a more adventurous trek was in order as the temp was a balmy -4c.

The road up into the forestry was steep and chilly

Destination reached.. a small hill loch which was glass calm
My brand new zebra billy just had to be tried out..so tanked up on hot chocolate and sticky bun it was time to head back
On the way back through the trees I noticed they were heavy with old mans beard lichen
