Some stories to share:
It has been quite a while since I was active on Bcuk, but my life finaly allowed me to get back.
I still wanted to share with you the past 3 months worth of bushcraft related history.
In februari I went back and forth between the Uk and Holland to meet up with Wayne from Forest knights, and had an amazing time, he taught me how to make a bow and arrows together with David Sinfield, we did some midnight canooing, I learned how to skin and preserve a deer. we had amazing food all week long, and even though I found out that my sleeping bag didnt quite cut it at -2 degrees celsius, it was one of the warmest experiences I have had, superb time, and I managed to steal allot of knowledge once again ;D
To many good experience to go on about ^^
I had my hands working on some Leatherwork, most of it which is now done, and will shortly appear in the Traditional craft section when I get round to seriously photographing it, ranging from belts to guitar straps and even my first Sporran.
and the build of a Skin over Frame, Ceder and Canvas canoe. which is coming along nicely.
The final news is about the Expedition I have been planning, under the name of The Green Route Project, which was one heck of a bumpy road, and after some very dissappointing setbacks that were beyond mending we decide to do the smart thing and delay the expedition and the documentary that was going along with it, till next year. In order for us to spread the word further, get more people to know about our project, and have a little more preparation time.
Might you be curious about the Canoe build: http://www.bushcraftuk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=108019
Or the Project: The Green Route Facebook page
Or might you not have anything to do in the coming month, I highly recommend spending some time with Forest Knights crew, amazing amount of knowledge, good food, and good company!
Yours sincerely Ruud
