Hi Guys,
I've been trying out chain maille lately and thought I'd show a couple of recent makes. It's been a bit of a challenge as I broke a finger and dislocated a thumb a couple of months back and still get a bit of pain with some movements and it is very fiddly work. I make each of the rings by hand from 0.8 or 1mm wire depending on the weave.
My first one was a byzantine weave in sterling silver and copper. I love this design, and so did my sister as she snapped it up for the sum of £55 as soon as I added it to my jewellery facebook page
It is now winging its way to sunny Australia. There are 208 rings in this one

Next I tried a JPL weave in bronze. This took me quite a few attempts to get started, but once I got going it came together quite quickly

And this is a work in progress.. cloud cover weave in bronze

It's quite relaxing once you get the hang of the weaves, so I think I will be making more of these and putting some up for sale soon
Thanks for looking,
Rachael x
