Some carving/knife practice

First time attempting to carve a snake, then did some ornamental work and turned into a tri-stick farther down. Mostly this was done to get practice with my knife, using it in different grips and angles. I had a bunch of fun with this project! From harvest to final finish the only tool that touched the stick was the knife.

Thank you! My options are a bit limited here in Costa Rica but I do have some clear poly that I might try.
