Trip Report Solo hot tent get away

Having planned to go on Friday but the weather had other plans, set off Saturday morning as one night out is better than none.
Went to a new secluded spot in southwest Scotland . A birch wood ,which gave a good bit of shelter as the wind was still blowing.
Had some great time just relaxing,cooking,gathering firewood and taking in the sounds and smells of the forest.
I could get my truck to within 100m of my chosen spot so this was never going to be a lightweight affair. Anyway 2 trips and all the gear was in
Woke up to a dusting of snow which was a bonus
I think doggo enjoyed the trip more than me

Looks like a great trip. Nothing wrong with taking some extra gear to have a comfortable night.

Fabulous! Lovely setup with the stove. I used one for cooking on for the first time this summer - I was amazed at how efficient it was.

That hurricane lamp has also reminded me of when I was young and had one sitting in the porch of our force10. I crouched to get in the tent after having gone for a pee. The top of the hurricane lamp branded my butt cheek with reverse German text for a few weeks!!
