they look really good on YouTube but want to know what they are really like for cooking etc

hmmm. Very interesting. You really shouldnt have posted this for me to read I will do some more reading but it would appear to be 250g lighter than the biolite stove and will pack smaller.

I didnt realise it has no usb charging facility and seems to require alkaline AA batteries to power the fan. It is not a woodgas stove but a fan assisted wood burning stove. I think this makes it expensive for what it is. You can get the biolite delevered for about £150 all in

ooooohhhhhhh Biolite looks very very good,
I do prefer the flatter shape of the Vital Stove but me thinks a BioLite is gonna be on my wish list to Santa.......!!!
