Soggy wildcamp in Wales

Just got back from 4 days in Snowdonia! Me and Dad decided to go for a wildcamp. We set up our tarps and bivvys, lit a fire, and cooked some food. All seemed well. Then the rain started. We dived for cover. Me and dad sat around under his tarp. It was already dark outside! We finally went to bed at 8:30. About a few hours into the nights my overused, overworked goretex bivvy (my dads old one!) finally gave up the ghost. Soggiest night of my entire life. I have never enjoyed a hot chocolate as much as I enjoyed the hot chocolate I had when I got back!

same thing happens whenever I camp in wales, always great fun though and as Bowlin said you can now get yourself some new kit

Hard to beat the rain in Wales... Especially snowdonia. It comes in sideways?...
