Socialising around a camp fire might actually be an essential aspect of what makes us human

and sitting in an office staring at a screen all day makes us psychopaths, or is that just me.

Nope, it's not just you!!! Its me, my alter ego and his alter ego although he does have multiple personalities so not sure which one of us is crazy!! sorry, I've lost the plot a little now. Tee Hee.

The campfire is the focal point for all who share it. It helped to keep away the predators, gave a feeling of relative safety and allowed a time to discuss the day and to entertain with stories. Also heat, cooking and comfort. It just works on so many levels.

For me Fire is one of the big three providers of tranquility as well. Have you ever noticed that even if nobody is talking everyone is content to sit and stare into the flame. The two other things that render me quiet and at ease are the view from a mountain top and looking out to sea.

Deep but true lol

I'm tempted to say that whilst you lot were chatting round the campfire us autistics were off inventing the wheel :)
