Soap stone wanted

I am looking for a piece of soap stone , to make an inuit oil lamp . About 3 inch sq
can someone help, the web not turning up much.

I'm *told* there's a lot of it about.....but I seem to be having no joy getting my hands on some of it
East Kilbride has a lot of it 20 feet down, Balmaha has it too....and I still haven't been able to aquire any.

I have found a few craft suppliers, but they ain't cheap

Opitec used to sell it too, may still do, but their website is a nightmare to burrow through.

Manchester Minerals sell soapstone for carving - http://www.manchesterminerals.co.uk (60p/100g)

I thought that Craft Supplies carried it for turning, but their site says otherwise. Might be worth giving them a ring anyway.
