I've recently moved into a much bigger room and would like to get a couple of little pets- maybe hamsters or rats. I used to have rats when i was younger and i like the minimal smell and the fact that they're so intelligent. Does anyone else have any suggestions? i don't have much space to keep them in so any oet would have to be small.

Hopefully having to think about something else will teach me a bit of responsibility and kick my hbit of being so selfish all the time

Get a ferret! They're the coolest pets EVER! I've got three. They can be toilet trained, and aren't usually destructive.

They DO smell, and are expert escape artists but they're good fun at all times!

tie a piece of string around a rock. it wont smell, make a noise or scratch the furniture and you can take it for a walk because of the string... :D

Fish:
Goldfish (replaceable)

Rodents:
Sugar Glider (nocturnal)
Hamster (simple)
Chinchilla (fluffy)
Rabbit (good eatin')

Reptiles:
Terrapin (could out live your grandkids)
Gecko (common and useful)

Dogs:
Toy poodle

Birds:
Quail (I have a soft spot for quail)
Mynah (smart)

Others:
Muntjac (affectionate)

Id go for a Rat if you just want 1 or 2 small pets, Ive got a huge rat cage in my shed you can have if you want it Nathan. PM me if you do. I keep ferrets, I wouldnt keep one in a cage in a single room bud, although they do make excelent pets ive lost count of the ones ive rescued ferrets from people who have had them in flats that were fed up with the smell, infact i have 2 whites a hob and jill i rescued from a woman in a 12th floor flat.
