I've just bought some steel bar to see if I can get a heavy throwbag up into my trees. Hence the exaggerated use of rubber.
I was too impatient for leather, and am making do with duck tape during this development phase.

Never mind windows, it's my own face I'm most worried about hitting. £3.50 doesn't buy quality materials.

That looks like a powerful design mate! I wear safety glasses when I'm plinking. My face would only be enhanced by a good slap. Don't fancy losing an eye though.

So far I've hit the lower branches and my sternum.
I'm planning on welding a brace in the area of highest stress; which, metallurgically, could go either way.
Test firing will be tentative.
