Well, after the overall success of my last sleeping system tester, and with the delivery of my brand new Thermarest Women's Trail Lite, I'll be heading out into the backyard again this evening, with a few changes to my system.

My previous system:
Clas Ohlson CCF mat
British Army Arctic Bag
Alpkit Hunka XL

System V2:
Thermarest Women's Trail Lite (It was going cheap, and even though I ain't a lady, I'll gladly welcome the extra insulation it supposedly offers!)
Trekmate Reflective Sleeping Mat
British Army Arctic Bag
Fleece
Alpkit Hunka XL

The fleece is in replacement of my wool blanket that hasn't been delivered yet, but it should give me some idea of the advantage of a blanket. Question: Should the blanket go inside the bivvy but outside the sleeping bag, or just over the top of everything?

Wish me luck guys!

I'd put the fleece over the top of the bag but inside the bivvy, that way you'll benefit from the bag insulation rather than shielding against it.

How long it stops in place is another matter :)
