Interesting, I have wondered why this hasn't been done before.

The only issue I can see it not being able to remove the -13*c "underblanket" in the warmer months, having the hammock and insulation as separate components let's you switch and change as you like.

I'd also be weary of the waterproof underside, it could make for some nasty condensation issues.

It's a great idea though and I'd like to hear if someone's taken the plunge.

Well not really but it looks like a good concept
if just for the colder months.

Just wonder how small it packs down?

Whilst I think it's a good idea, like Shewie says there may be issues with condensation, but my main concern is that it's a pretty nasty looking hammock. It looks as if you'll have no choice but to sleep in a U shape if you use it. A seperate hammock, underblanket and quilt is much more versatile, only slightly more expensive and almost certainly more comfortable.
