Made this simple little black belt nubuk pouch as a birthday present for my brother in law.

there's a little surprise inside...

There's a small 5mm welt. It helps keep the bottom fold neat and makes it easy to open. Plus it stops sharp edges slicing the stitching.

First go with snaps, this one is probably overkill, but it's all I had. Both dye and gloss is standard shoe stuff.

Getting one tool a month. Next one I think will be an edge beveller.

Aye I think the wood definitely makes it.... without the wood it's a bit ordinary.
