I've seen posts on these knives and heard about Shing bit I have no idea how to get in contact with him or even if he still makes his slip joint knives. Any ideas? Oh and the website unless I've got it wrong is full of links to other places

Shing is indeed very active and probably extremely busy with Knives UK approaching as i think he is showing there.
Good advice above, if you register on www.britishblades.com you will be able to PM there, but again, it might be a while before he responds.
If you are after a bombproof UK legal slipjoint, or a fixed blade bushcraft scandi, you could do a lot worse.
Lead times are quite lengthy, and his slippies ain't cheap, but you get what you pay for
