Iceland stores have sold them since at least 1989....its when I moved here and first started buying them. For out camping the John West tinned kippers in oil are not bad at all , 99p Tesco; canned kippers and onion sarney :)

Sunny Wales!
Tesco's 'used' to do them for 60p... No doubt its closer to £4 now

We used to go up to some cliffs locally in the summer on a saturday morning with a portable bbq and do a full english with kippers on the side.

They work very well with a fry up!

I loves me kippers! shame they stink the house out..and the bones.

How do you guys deal with the bones? Not too keen on eating all of them personally..
