Scotch Eyed Auger

Just a heads up,
I got an auger today from here

3 quid + 2:40 postage; 1" x 10"; Brand new; delivered in 2 days; still in the protective wax. It's nice and sharp and cut's well.
It looks like they still have a few left.
No connection etc.

There was someone selling those augers with nice leather sheaths on ebay, around £20-25. try looking for birch augers

you could buy the auger, and the leather and some basic needles and thread and an awl for less than that and make it yourself!!!

its like a big hand held drill bit, like an inch wide, you put a wood handle throuhg the eye on the end of it and twist it in the wood to make a hole. handy for birch tapping and making camp furniture, starting kuksa's etc
