Never heard of it before but it looks like really nice gear. Anybody ever used it??

The brand is Finnish. Actually the name of the "inventor", an ex army officer, I think.
Had a few buddies who used these clothes earlier (early 90`s) and they recommended them.
Have never tried it myself though.

I've got a sasta goretex olive green/orange cap I picked up in Finland a few years ago, it was on special offer but that's all I could afford!
Great quality kit but the price even if bought direct from Finland is top end.

I have had a sasta jacket for the last 4 years. Very well made and quiet with its brushed PES fabric. Lots of good features and very warm. Its Goretex drop liner worked well for about a year and a half, about typical for the stuff, after which time it lost its breathability. If you wan't a Gortex jacket they are very good, but I prefer ventile. Its a shame they don't make the same jackets in ventile as the cut, pockets, fit adjustments and other features are pretty much perfect, which is the reason why I bought it. It also was not too technical looking so I wore it as an everyday jacket.
