A quick wander along the beach at Runswick Bay yesterday , not the greatest pics but I thought I'd share all the same . Runswick looks like a good place for a stealthy beach bivvy .

Hi mate, it is indeed not far from the green shacks, great looking spot, also in the wood near the car park, flying critters might be a pain later on ? One of my favourite spots is Runswick

I thought you might appreciate after comments you made previously . I quite fancy a night out on the beach ..... tide permitting
Quite a few Kayak fishermen out too , was speaking to a couple of lads from Middleborough.

Yeah up for that, as you say check tide table etc, got a couple of spots semi picked out above high tide

Not stayed near there but found some good spots near Port Mulgrave and some more near Sandsend

Lovely place Rob, There's a few spots on the top of the cliffs for a camp, nice grassy areas with great views.
I've done a bit of boat fishing along the coast at robin hoods bay, bagged up on the cod.

Nice one Big G , I'm trying to get into some sea fishing /kayak fishing myself ........

I was looking in to buying a sit on top kayak a few year ago ( o k prowler big game ) but me family were taking the **** saying you in a kayak, they don't make them big enough for your weight, cheeky gits

Aye but they were all asking for fresh cod, when i'd been boat fishing.

Yeah I know what you mean , my wife says I need to make sure I let the lifeboat know when I'm planning on going out .......
They were catching Whiting at weekend but it was quiet they were saying .......

They were catching Whiting at weekend but it was quiet they were saying .......

Pesky whiting sea rats we call them, its a bit early yet for big cod but the first run of codling won't be long.

haven't they knocked all the fishermens cabins, fishing tackle shop/cabins, and cafe (pint mugs tea) down over the road from the Railway station by the harbour ?
to build a Supermarket ?

Rob get yaself a cheap kayak rod or spinning rod, string feathers ie hokeyes, day lights, few sinkers.

You'll catch mackrel, codling, whiting, ling, and if your lucky bass, all with in few hundred metres from the beach on your kayak mate.

Kayak is on the shopping list for next month, I've got a couple of light spinning rods already , had a try off the pier towards end of summer . You never know you might see me floating past you the next time your out .......
