It's no hardship to have to wait for a good thing, Phil :) Lovely to see an RC meet on the cards again!

Hi babe its me Deb's Lewis. We plan to go to Rough close in September and November I believe you are going? We really like the site. Are you taking youngling as we will probably leave our cherub with the oldies as it was so nice to just chill and join in properly for a change.

Just a reminder to those folks who are attending I'm not intending to bring any of my communal kit with me as I won't be getting there until around 6:30-7:00pm and will be leaving Sunday afternoon.

So you'll need to make sure there's a fire pit and communal tarp if you want a group fire :)

Oh yes the TORM meet is a definite providing the Forsaken will take little R' for the weekend. And if they can't, well I will look into better insulation for her hammock!

Bit of feedback from Phil about the firewood situation at Rough Close.

Basically it's back to scratching around trying to find something the scouts haven't used

Bearing that in mind, if you're able to bring some with you it would be a great help if we want to sit by a fire in the evenings. If people are willing to chip in on costs I can grab some of the seasoned birch that I've brought before at £7 a bag.

Me too ~ there's wood ... if you know where to go and can process and lug it all in one go (because it's likely to disappear in the interim ;) ) but there's no way to guarantee that it's not still too green to burn well ...

Whilst I'm thinking ... does anyone want a Milo drink powder tin? One of these jobs ...

Decent tins, I keep one to use as a double boiler for magic biscuits ;)

They're free but empty btw and, for ease of travelling, if no one's interested I'll be leaving them at home ;) .
