To the horticultural minded, can you tell me if deer eat rosemary bushes?

Thinking on doing some planting and just wanted to know if they will survive.

Thanks

S

ps I know that deer taste nice with rosemary, but thats another subject.:lmao:

Not in the Scottish mountains, Sandsnakes, for much the same reason that polar bears don't eat penguins,, although the reds will happily consume sorrel, myrtle and thyme... a most considerate and selfless act!

Only 2 days ago, I watched an extremely confused roe buck munching away at mint.

Cheers,

Pango.

tie a few sprigs of rosemary to whatever foliage the deer eat at the moment and see what happens, that'll give you some kind of clue i should think

cheers

I don't know about rosemary but roe definitely eat Scots Pine needles, so they cope with scented tough leaves. One of the few plants they've yet to nibble in my woodland are blackcurrants.
