At last,a bushcraft pilot scheme that will teach pupils to get involved in the outdoors.Plus,when they get fed up of it,i bet there will be some top notch equipment for sale.

Pleasingly, this isn't too unique i don't think - my kids have an afternoon called 'bushcraft' timetabled in each week at their school. Lots of fires, knife work, foraging etc (no axes yet though i think). Plenty of other schools seem to have significantly bought into the whole Forest Schools thing in recent years in addition (although to be fair, at my kids last school, that involved sitting under the only tree on the school premises and using a wax crayon to do a leaf rubbing!)
