Hello all,
I have just managed to put a big hole through the side of my gortex shoe. Its gone through all layers except the inner lining (and thankfully not my skin). I'd like to get some more life out of them, has anyone found a reliable waterproof way of repairing damage such as this?

Thanks T

Goretex shoes are generally constructed with a "sock" liner made of goretex. This is the inner lining of the shoe, so if you have not ripped the inner liner then the shoe should remain waterproof. I would imagine that some glue to stick down the ripped flap would be a good idea. I would tend to use something like a polyurethane glue, because it is strong, slightly flexible and it is what I have.. (it is messy though)
Hope this helps.

Shoe Goo is the way to go, I've repaired soles, uppers and even a pair of leather gloves. No connections etc...
