Just heard the Joe Cocker has died, very sad, great voice. RIP Joe, sure you'llbe rocking with the best somewhere!

I'm reliably informed there's a band already warming up the other side of the Purley Gates and on lead guitar is Ollie Halsall.

My Dad used to go see him when he did the pubs in Chesterfield back when he was starting out, while I was at Uni he came and visited our next door but one neighbour who had done the bookings at various clubs back in the late 50s, maybe early 60s. This great big limo turned up on this council estate street and him and I think it was Eric Clapton got out and had tea with. That would have been around 88. They kept intouch on and off until Arnie died a few years back.
