Reinforced wooden wedges

Hello made some quick reinforcements on my two new birch wedges. They are dry. Perhaps I wrap the upper part with some cord also. Yes I know one can make wedges as one use them but dry wedges is much better and you can use them as emergency fire wood! I think the pictures is quite self explanatory. Gonna try them tomorrow . The yellow thing is a staple gun.

Do you call them Gluts in Sweden, if so I I use them regularly thanks to Kepis on here who showed me how to make and use them properly.

Hello I gotta say that this was a total fail! The thinn metal broke and did nothing.
