A good source for free leather ! Keep your eye open on the Freecycle sites (you should have some local) for leather furniture strip it off also make use of any
useable wood then all its cost you is collection and a tip run! I've made all sorts that way .including a crochet hook roll for the misses and covered a plastic mora
type sheath !
