Hi all,

I need some new trousers, not for bushcraft but for work.

They need them to be very hard wearing, heavy duty, have multiple pockets and somewhat resistant to oil.

Got £50 max to spend

Any recommendations?

Oh and in any colour so long as they are black. :)

Thanks

Cool. I do performance suspensions. Not really found oil resistant yet but I wear cheap aldi work trousers in black and grey usually, pockets for my ruler, calipers, de-burrer and all that fun stuff on one side, calculator and Zeus and Oracle data charts and reference tables in the cargo pocket on the left leg. Sport soccer have cheap Dunlop cordura trousers in my area too. I'm loath to spend loads as I do a lot of welding and grinding as well as machining, set fire to my jumper just today. Homebase have a decent range of trousers in cordura, have a look online and see what suits you sir

Thanks I will. I also begrudge spending too much on work wear too but Im quite tough on trousers and the thinner material/lower quality ones wear out quite fast with me. Wanted to see if it works out more economical to spend a bit more on a decent pair that last.

I use Portwest Action trousers for work as a gardener, they are polycotton, multiple pockets they have knee pad pockets and you can get them for around £15. I have used them for years and have found them very hardwearing.
