As I purchased said belt with the D ring I'll answer that.
I use it to hang my keys on with a quick release type hook.
That is so there are no holes in my pockets.
The belt in question is great by the way.

very nice.
Is there any specific purpose for the d-ring on the belt? How big are the wet formed belt pouches?

I use the D ring on mine to clip my fire steel to, but you can just about hang anything on it:rolleyes:

The pouch is approx' 140mm wide x 90mm X 40mm deep if that makes sense?

I'll try and get a photo of my new belt order up soon...

Cheers

Cheers Richard.
Dimensions much the same as the pouch in the Ray Mears online shop (which cost me an arm and a leg - or rather my girlfriend who got it for my christmas).
I am in the market for a good leather belt - do you trade through here or by other means?

Oh dear! I knew I shouldn't have looked at this thread, but I couldn't resist.
Of course now I'm fancying after one of those stunning sporran pouches!!!!
Do they have the belt loop on the back Richard and would this take a dangled loop to lower it when using a rucksack?
