Hi all,

Back for more advice :)

I have 2 pairs of nearly new unused but older army boots.

1 pair are Austrian Edleweiss and the other are German Para (mk4 or 5 cannot remember) boots.

Both super comfy and I love them to bits.

Problem I see though is that I'll get through the original provided soles quite quickly. They are made up of 3 layers. Bottom normal rubber type, middle some sort of foam and top layer could be leather.

The bottom layer I would say is approx. 1cm thick and I tend to wear the heal edges to one side quicker than the rest. So I envisage I'll reach the foam middle part at some point soon.

Anyone know of a (online or not) service to get the soles replaced with something like Vibram? Nothing against them but I think this is a bit more thank the local Timpsons can deal with.

Am looking for a good not quick economical job.

I'm only really aware of Vibram soles so if other brands are recommended then that would help me to :)

Thanks and cheers.
