Lightest high-quality jungle boots that won't beak the bank

I wouldn't worry too much about the weight.

Practice/train in them, or similar boots, for a few weeks if you are only conditioned to wearing lighter footwear.

Well my Winter boots are a little heavier so I am used to the weight in that context. Would be nice to have lighter in hot & humid climate as it can be pretty tiring.
 
There's also the question of luggage, if you're flying and don't want to wear them for 24 hours in one stretch.
I'd not considered that, but comfortable boots shouldn't be a problem. I have travelled in plastic mountaineering boots in the past. The laces can be loosened off whilst sitting.
 
So I just bought some of the Wellco UK Army brown jungle boots in 9M with the Panama sole almost as-new for £36 on eBay which I thought was a good deal. I will report back with thoughts once I have had a chance to try them on and walk them in a bit. The pair is meant to weigh 1.6Kg which is not too bad.
