Just watched the 1st two episodes, great to watch again, specially after reading his life outdoors book, he explains the making of them, a real insight and makes watching them even better.

Just been catching up with this. I'd never seen the series before (& I don't think they ever released it on DVD did they?) I actually like it better than some of his later stuff.

It was on yesterday as well... he was out and about in the desert, then building shelters in Canada... was quite interesting... even the kids sat quietly watching it for a bit which made me happy.
