Made this for a customer. I'll be sad to see it go there's not many like this around.:(

Its Reindeer antler bolster, leather and pewter spacers, Masur Birch and an Oak centre. The end section is buffalo horn and is pinned with a brass rod.

Blade 95x23x4mm Old shoemakers Rasp, forged tang shape and reduced overall thickness, ground face, hand filed bevel. Rounded part of the spine for thumb cuts, the rest right angled for firesteel action.
Handle length 115mm

Leather sheath with matching firesteel.

That's a stunner Addo! I'm loving the whole thing but the centered star is awesome and the the package is sweet as, even the maker's mark took real nice...great work there fella!
 
looks amazing, only question is: does the blade feel nice and doesnt it catch dirt a lot.

Cheers. Well its very sharp, with a scandi ground bevel inc micro, so its cutting wood nice, and on the thick side too so battons like a dream. If it gets mucky I'd just give it a wipe on my trousers, unless sorting out some game, then I'd rince it then wipe on my trousers :)
With it being ground on the sides, you can clean it up with the DC4, and leave the rasp teeth to naturally darken, or a small wire brush would clean up if needed.
