Rabbit skins. what uses?

My dog chased and killed a rabbit yesterday, i felt bad when i left the rabbit in the hedge for a fox or badger as it seemed to be a waste,
I looked up on the net how to gut and prep a rabbit for food but was wondering about uses for the pelt, it doesnt seem that hard a task to tan the skin and dry it but no real idea as what to make with the pelt when dried.
any ideas?

You could always make rabbit skin glue. Lots of uses for that.

My baby courrans were rabbit skin, fur inwards. I also had a coney fur coat, hat and muff. Much easier for little hands than gloves or mitts.
