How about creating sub threads within the thread, Knives, water, rucksacks etc. then as different types of questions arise new sub threads can be formed....that way people looking for specific questions & answers can look directly under the subject title without having to read the whole thread........

I shant make any more jokes ....scout's honour.

Good idea, but I cannot do that, maybe if someone better equipped with magic mod powers could? (if deemed worth while of course)

My main problem isthe search function, I've found it not that great at times and a bit frustrating. (trying to find my 'pocket knife' thread didn't work, so I had to find it via my profile, threads started!)

the reason it doesn't matter if a question is asked several times is because it shouldn't be calling for a detailed indepth answer as such i.e 'can you use enamle mugs on a portable stove?' or 'is rain water safe to drink' etc.

the thread would be useful to skim threw out of interest but actually designed to provide fast easy answers when the search function doesn't.

I see your point...as for the sub threads, something like this may do.........then all relevant questions can be asked & answered following the post & as people have different subject questions, they can start new titles....for example...
