Quick Assembly WIP handle and Kydex

I dont do many in build photos etc (but will do more when i get my website sorted)


these are from my camera Phone so not the best




Heres the DWC large blade profile has had the Thumb ramp removed and green canvas micarta with carbon fiber black pins etc blade is 800gt and polished and has a 22deg slicey Scandi grind


all pins/ tubes are carbon fibre except the lanyard Tube which is Stainless steel there are 16 all together

all glued up with epoxy

Profile cleaned back and marked out the top profile
I use 4 width marks and then grind square to that as a first operation

this is one side ground to profile and the nearedt side ruff shaped on the linisher

Today was a Kydex day in the shed


Blade taped ready for the oven 2mm Black Kydex (from Leonidas )

Formed and still warm waiting Cutting etc

and magically all done (just the bolster pin holes slightly out of line on this side )

i use one of duncs woodlore blades in 22deg as my primary user, i can vouch for the sharpness

Please read the HSE label before using

Stropping on a leather file with autosol compound should keep it Sharp for a long while.

It's currently zero ground

Btw this is a very sharp blade! amazing. cant wait to give it a good test.
