Quality lock knife

Hi all
I join the army soon and am looking for an excelent quality lock knife but im relatively new to knives so what makes should i consider im looking for a military style lock knife for no more than 40 quid

any recomendations

At that price there probably isn't too much available.Though i'm no expert.

hi mate i want something a bit more tactical looking, dont much like the look of that knife and its a bit expencive, im sure its good though

any other recomendations

Ok lets make this easier, make a list of the best quality brands from 1-5, 1 being the best, then i can just find a knife i like from the best brands

If you're after a blacktical knife what about Byrd?
The cheeper alternative to Spyderco

Spyderco are good too but maybe a bit expensive

Personally I'd take a Leatherman. Handy when bits of rifle won't come apart, cuts wire etc etc.

What exactly do you mean by "tactical looking"? Also, if it's a good knife why should it need to look any different?

I have one of these in my smock zip pocket

Does the job on ex. I also use a leatherman wave for when parts of the cleaning kit are missing and i need to strip the rifle.

Spyderco Tenacious is the way to go. All the features of a £80+ knife for less than £40.
