quail in a small pot

I'd bought a small cast iron pot on ebay, and my son asked to cook in it. as we use the large dutch oven for chickens, he suggested getting quail..

clove of garlic for the quail

Joe loads up the mini dutch oven

took about 25 mins to cook.... turning the lid and base occasionally...

there was to have been a pic of it coming out the pot, but Joe got to it first.... A small amount left for stock later in the day....

Very nice little pot, recall seeing one that sort of size on a hairy bikers programme, envious.

Guess the quail came out ok from the look of how it was tucked into !
