Pruning knife

I've been asked by my son in law to make a pruning knife for his father.I'm using 3mm O1 .But any tips on to how to do the grind on the curve of the blade on the end

Interesting shape.

I wonder about sharpening. Maybe make up a profiled (rounded) stick of wood with high-quality wet and dry glued to it?

Looks okay Mike - depends what he is pruning really - fruit pruning knives are often thinner and with a deeper curve - but that's a more traditional look - great for roses and the like. I think that will work well
